The end of the long wait for the country’s freelancers will eventually start on October 19 in the form of money transfer services company PayPal, a US based online payment service provider.
PayPal services, an international gateway for online payment, will be available to Bangladeshis from October 19. PayPal is an American company operating a worldwide online payments system that supports online money transfers and serves. PayPal is an e-commerce organization through which money can be transferred on the internet using an electronic bank credit or debit card, PayPal cheques or by using virtual cash from PayPal accounts.
State minister for Information and Communication Technology Division Bangladesh Zunaid Ahmed Palak confirmed the matter to The press.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy will inaugurate the PayPal service on the second day of the ICT Expo 2017.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology division Bangladesh Junaid Ahmed Palak confirmed the information while inaugurating a program at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium on Monday.
Through this, expatriate Bangladeshis can easily send money to the country and the freelancers will be able to bring their earned dollars in legitimate way.
Junaid Ahmed Palak said, “PayPal facility can be found in about 12 thousand branches of 9 banks including Sonali, Rupali Bank. This will benefit the freelancers as well as users who are trading online. We are going towards Digital Transaction, Cashless Society. If these services are introduced in the form of digital Bangladesh, new ways of digital transformation will be revealed.
